MWCC Family Camp.
This is something that I look forward to every year and this is for many different reasons. There are lots of families and individuals that go along. People of all ages, stages and majors. If you like board games, there are many different people who love to play board games; and some into the early hours of the morning. There are enough sporty people there to play some sort of game (who will be the table tennis champ this year?). There are a few hiking tracks that you can go for a walk on. You can just chillax and read. The pool is always a good place for a few lengths and a few bombs. Sometimes someone brings a proper croquet set down for a game. The water slide is epic. The 'break out' times are excellent.
One of the things that I enjoy the most is talking to lots of people. There are many times throughout the day where you can just sit and chat, talk with people that you don't really know, or people you haven't talked a lot to. Connecting with people is important and connecting with our faith community is very important. The time at camp is better than the short time we have before or after church or before or after Life Group. There is more time to have more in-depth conversations or be able to talk to more people. As our relationships get deeper and we are looking out for each other and our love for our brother and sister grows, we grow closer as a faith community. I am reminded of the words of Jesus, "By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another." Jn 13:35.
So as it has been said, we just want as many to come along that can. If money is an issue just let Russell or one of the Elders know how much you can pay. Come on down; it will be tumeke as!
