There is absolutely no doubt that we live in a beautiful country; we are truly blessed to be living here. Most of us had no direct say in this as we were born here, but others have chosen to move here and make a life here. As a family we had the opportunity to travel a little way around the South Island through North and Central Otago for 5 days, returning to Tamaki Makaurau last Wednesday. Tino Ataahua!
Why do we deserve to live in this beautiful country? I'm not sure, but I do know that I keep thinking of this verse in Acts 17:26: "From one man he made all the nations, that they should inhabit the whole earth; and he marked out their appointed times in history and the boundaries of their lands". Thank you Lord! So what do we do? Firstly, be thankful, secondly look at those that are around us to share the good news of Jesus Christ with them. Verse 27 says: God did this so that they would seek him and perhaps reach out for him and find him, though he is not far from any one of us. How great is it if someone is reaching out to God, and like Phillip was with Eunuch, we are right there to answer any question they may have. We may also get the opportunity to baptise them! Matthew 28:19-20 "Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age." Ka mau te wehi!
